Today, numerous streets of Ghaziabad were blocked owing to the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. No vehicles, including public, police, were allowed to move towards Mohan Nagar and Sahibabad. The Prime Minister’s program results in traffic diversions from 7 am. Many entry points for the city were not allowed access for the commercial vehicles.
The traffic plan was set up to indicate which routes of Ghaziabad weren’t allowed.There was a complete ban on the movement of all types of vehicles from Hindon Air Force Roundabout to Sahibabad Rapid X Station and Public Meeting via Mohan Nagar.Likewise, all kinds of automobiles except those going towards Sahibabad Rapid X Station and Public Meeting through a solar route were barred. All medium, light and heavy commercial vehicles were closed on both sides of the route between Lal Kuan and Seemapuri
Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commissioned the 17 km priority section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS. The program was to be staged in Ghaziabad’s Vasundhara area.The priority section of about 82.15 km along the route from Sahibabad to Duhai Depot will be inaugurated and available for passenger operations from Saturday (October 21). By mid-June 2025, the entire corridor is expected to be operational.
There will be five stations for the priority section: Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai and Duhai Depot. The trains will be operational between 6 am and 11 pm, an official had told PTI news agency. PM Modi laid the foundation of the largerDelhi–Meerut corridor in March 2019.Each train will carry a total of six coaches, including one for premium. There exists a coach designated for women adjacent to the premium coach in each train. Coaches normally have serially numbered seats. In other coaches, there are also women, specially-abled, and senior citizens in reserved seats.

Additional DCP (Traffic) Ramanand Kushwaha said that over 1000 traffic police personnel will be deployed to facilitate smooth traffic in collaboration with district police. “Traffic police will also consider social media to solve traffic problems of residents. Action will be taken against those who do not follow the rules,” he said. The traffic police has also provided a telephone number for passengers who face issues that may cause distraction on the road.
