Nerul Station fill with garbage

Nerul, Navi Mumbai: Vegetable vendors using Nerul parking lot as storage and throw their rubbish once finished with selling on the road at the parking lot opposite to Abhudaya Bank near Nerul station. As a result, trash has accumulated and is now luring flies and mosquitoes.

Locals have complained about the problem to the CIDCO officials, but nothing has been done as of yet. They worry that the rubbish might contribute to the development of illnesses like dengue and malaria.

Due to its remote location and offensive odour, the parking lot has also turned into a sanctuary for drug users. Additionally, there have been complaints of crimes in the neighborhood, including gasoline theft and automobile theft.

The locals have urged the CIDCO officials to act quickly to clear the trash and stop the spread of sickness. In order to prevent criminality, they have also requested more protection in the area close to nerul parking lot.

A CIDCO representative stated in a statement that the issue is being investigated and that action would be taken quickly.

Authorities from CIDCO tell locals that they would increase the number of trash cans in the parking lot and increase routinely collection and properly disposal of the trash. To prevent crime, CIDCO will increase home guard round in the parking lot.
