Vande Bharat Train

After facing delays due to the recent Balasore railway accidents, the highly anticipated inauguration of the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat train service has been rescheduled for 27th June. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will remotely inaugurate the service from Madgaon, replacing the earlier proposed date of 3rd June.

Although Prime Minister Narendra Modi won’t be physically present, he will utilize digital video technology to officially inaugurate five Vande Bharat trains across different routes. These trains include the Madgaon-Mumbai, Patna-Ranchi, Bhopal-Indore, Bhopal-Jabalpur, and Bengaluru-Hubli routes.

Notably, the inauguration ceremony will take place in Madgaon, Goa, marking an important milestone in the enhancement of rail connectivity in the region. The Madgaon-Mumbai Vande Bharat train, which will operate daily except on Fridays, aims to provide a convenient and comfortable travel experience for passengers.

In preparation for the monsoon season, Konkan Railway has recently rescheduled its timetable to ensure the safety of passengers during heavy rains. This precautionary measure intends to prevent any mishaps or disruptions caused by adverse weather conditions.

The Madgaon-Mumbai Vande Bharat route will feature several stops, including Mudgaon, Thiti, Kankavli, Ratnagiri, Khed, Panvel, Thane, Dadar, and CST. Departing from CST at 5:25 AM, the train is expected to arrive at Mudgaon by 1:15 PM. The return journey will commence from Mudgaon at 2:35 PM, reaching CST by 10:25 PM.

Passengers eagerly anticipate the launch of the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat train service, which promises to enhance connectivity and facilitate seamless travel between the two popular destinations. With the digital inauguration by Prime Minister Modi, the event holds significant importance and symbolizes progress in the nation’s railway network.
