Weekend enthusiasts, take note. Mahabaleshwar and Pachgani in the Mahabaleshwar taluka are preparing for an influx of tourists coming via the Mumbai-Pune route as the summer vacations draw to an end. The Regional Transport Office (RTO) has altered the routes to guarantee a smooth flow of traffic.

The modified traffic route will be in place every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday starting on June 7 through June 25. We respectfully ask all visitors to evaluate this route before departing from home.

Here are the revised routes:

  • Cars traveling from Mumbai-Pune Bajuk to Mahabaleshwar will be diverted to Surur Phata – Wai – Pachgani – Mahabaleshwar route.
  • Travelers cannot use the Pachgani-Wai-Surur Fata route to go from Pachgani Bajuk to Pune or Mumbai. Instead, the route via Pachgani Sanjivan Vidyalaya, Pachgani, Ruighar, and Mahu Dam Road – Pune will be utilized through Karad Kolewadi Kudal Pachwad Phata.
  • Traffic moving from Mahabaleshwar Bajuk to Pune or Mumbai can take either the Mahabaleshwar-Mehta Kudal-Pachwad Phata route or the Mahabaleshwar-Medha-Satara Pune route.
  • The Satara Medha Mahabaleshwar route can be used for travel between Mahabaleshwar Bajuk and Kolhapur, as well as Kolhapur Bajuk and Mahabaleshwar.
  • If traffic from Mahabaleshwar Bajuk intends to go via Pachgani, they will be redirected to the Pune side via Lingmala Phata on the Mahabaleshwar Medha Road – Medha-Kudal-Pachwad Phata route.
  • As per the new route updates, vehicles traveling from Mumbai-Pune Bajuk to Mahabaleshwar will continue through Sarur Phata-Wai-Pachgani to reach Mahabaleshwar. Likewise, traffic from Mahabaleshwar Bajuk to Pune or Mumbai will take the Pune-Mumbai route via Maida Kudal-Pachwad Fata from Mahabaleshwar. Additionally, those traveling from Pachgani to Pune or Mumbai should use the Sanjivan Vidyalaya – Pachgani – Ruidhar Mahu Ham Road – Karhar Kolewadi Kudal route to reach Pune-Mumbai via Pachwad Phata.
