This inspection has rekindled hope among the local residents for the realization of a new station. MP Shinde recently met with the divisional managers of Central Railway, during which he discussed the need for special trains traveling to Konkan to make a stop at Diva railway station, as well as the importance of the new station. The site inspection was attended by former Deputy Mayor Ramakant Madhvi, President of Diva Railway Passenger Association Adesh Bhagat, Bhushan Patil, and other activists. Madhvi expressed gratitude to MP Shinde and emphasized the necessity of a railway station between Diva and Kopar on the Central Railway line, particularly considering the future bullet train station planned at Mhatardi.
Furthermore, the passenger traffic through Diva station has significantly increased, necessitating the establishment of the new railway station to alleviate the load on Diva station. The Central Railway Administration has been actively improving Diva station, introducing various amenities and enhancements, thereby elevating its significance. President of Diva Railway Passengers Association, Aadesh Bhagat, expressed optimism that Shinde’s efforts will lead to the fulfillment of this long-pending demand.
