Dehradun Horrific Car Accident, Six Dead, One in Hospital

Dehradun: In a tragic incident that occurred near the ONGC Chowk in Dehradun, a car collided with a stationary dumper parked by the roadside, resulting in the deaths of six people, including three young women. The victims were all students, aged between 20 and 25, and were traveling in the car at the time of the accident. One of the individuals is reported to be critically injured, while the others were pronounced dead at the scene included Kunal Kukreja, Kamakshi Singhal, and Guneet Kaur, all of whom were studying at Graphic Era University.

The driver of the Innova, Atul Agarwal, had recently bought the car on October 30, and was hosting a party to celebrate the purchase. He, along with his six friends, was reportedly engaged in a race with another vehicle when the accident occurred. The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the collision. SSP Ajay Singh confirmed that the victims, six from Dehradun and one from Himachal Pradesh, had been out for a fun-filled drive, but little did they know that the night would end in tragedy.

Among the deceased, Kunal and Guneet were pursuing BBA, and Kamakshi was a BCom student. The tragedy has raised concerns about the safety of young drivers and the consequences of reckless driving, especially at high speeds and under the influence of partying.

The accident, which took place around 2:00 AM, was so severe that it left shattered glass scattered across the road for a considerable distance, highlighting the intensity of the crash. Eyewitnesses described the crash as horrific, with the car reportedly colliding with the dumper before overturning and crashing into a nearby ditch.

Authorities confirmed that seven people were in the car at the time of the accident. The victims included three girls and three boys, all of whom were college students, with one person still alive but critically injured. He has been rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
